Music used in trailer!

This will be the music that is featured when one of the characters turns on the radio at '?' seconds into the trailer. I think this songs suits the trailer best as following the intro of the music, the clips will move faster than they started off and a song with a faster beat will allow the speed of the clips to work.

Inspiration for poster!

This is my poster alongside the current poster for the third film in the 'Hunger Games' series, 'Mocking jay'.
I found this poster used a similar style to what I wanted as I think it would best suit my film, it doesn't display much about the film itself as it is getting the across the mysterious effect of the film.
It simply displays a black background with the logo of the franchise displayed as the main feature of the page along with the title and release date located underneath.

Pre-film warning!

This will be featured at the beginning of the film trailer

Age rating!

This will be the age rating that will appear on the poster along with being shown at the end of the film.

Production logo!

This will be the logo featured on my final poster design and possibly on the magazine cover I will be producing. I will also try and fit the production logo into some point of the trailer where appropriate.

The main features of this logo are in white as the black symbolises a background, specifically my movie poster. The image is designed to be a piece of camera film with a play on words of my surname being 'Taylor' with the meaning of the word 'tailor'.
It also features the iconic ® (registered trademark) symbol.

POSTER!!

This is the final production of the poster I was tasked with creating as one of my ancillary tasks. It shows the title of the film as it's main feature in the center of the page along with a small design that relates to the film. The design pictures a gun with a flag being fired out of it, the significance of this is that the teenagers portrayed in our film don't use real guns, instead they use fake guns to give the illusion. The dollar sign represents money in general even though the film is based in the UK as this symbol would get more recognition.

Editing software

This is the editing software I am currently using for my final piece and this is a screenshot of the first draft of the opening scene of my trailer.
I am using 'iMovie' (developed by Apple) rather than 'Serif MoviePlus' as I find it is much simpler to use and has a much more user friendly interface.

Potential problems with fiming

The main problem I think I will have when it comes to filming my main piece is the weather and timing.

To be able to get the right atmosphere for the film the lighting for the trailer will have to be right and finding the right to do this is ideal as editing can only do so much to improve my trailer quality.
I will also be looking at the upcoming weather forecasts to ensure I can film at the right time with minimal disruptions to the best quality I think I can achieve.

When will I be filming?

I have been set a final filming deadline for February 27th and this is what I am going to be aiming to hit. I will be uploading shots and scenes as I get them; however, the editing and final piece does not have to be finished until a later date.
The poster and magazine will also have a deadline set at a later date, this will be because the trailer is the most lengthy piece of work and will need to be done first as it requires me to get out and about and get all filming done whereas the poster and magazine cover can be done in college given the right photography equipment and editing software.

I have a half term break coming up and this will be an ideal time to get some filming done as I will not have college getting in my way. The weekends may also be a good time to film if I don't have work to do and personal plans don't get in the way.

Target audience

The target audience for the movie trailer I am going to be producing I would say is the 'general movie goer'. This refers to the typical audience that would go to a cinema to watch newly released films; however, this excludes children that would go to watch Disney or DreamWorks animated movies and films of that genre.

I would say the average movie goer is aged between 15 and 35, as this is a wide range I am going to have to find ways to appeal to the masses when developing my trailer. From the survey I conducted I have gathered a rough idea of what people in this age group look for when seeing a movie trailer and what keeps them entertained whilst viewing them.

Difference in teaser trailer and trailer

What is a teaser trailer?

a teaser trailer is a cut down version of a theatrical trailer intended to grab an audiences attention without revealing much of the story.

The only difference between a teaser and a normal theatrical trailer is that a teaser does not show much as they usually tend to be around 30 seconds wrong as opposed to about 2 minutes.
